Sorry took so long to see, read & comment, feel so out of it. This week is hazy, spent mostly passed out & weak. Managed some 1 finger typed stuff, but today managed to get 3 to work... well after fixing bunch of typos. sigh
You captured the sense of loss so perfectly, and it is a loss of what has been comforting (if not always comfortable) throughout most of the worst years of his life. Hogwarts has been there, even when people shifted in & out, loved that Minerva & Hermione gave him his desk set. Sincere realizations make this real in a way that clutches my heart, I'm like you & MyHomeWitch about changes in life, places, etc. Not sure how I lived without Digital camera? Your stories are a treasure to explore, thank you for sharing. <3
